Welcome to MDM Sierra Holdings, a two division company. Our truck hauling company operates in the Moyamba district of Sierra Leone West Africa. We currently haul bauxite, the raw material used for producing aluminum. MDM hauls this precious mineral for Vimetco, a partner company that has grown from a promise start-up to a full listing on the London Stock Exchange since 2007. Vimetco is part of a globally integrated aluminum group which includes bauxite mines in Sierra Leone, aluminum production plants in China, aluminum refinery and smelter facilities in Romania. Today, Vimetco is among the top five producers in Europe and among the top ten in China, which has the world’s largest aluminum market.
As of 2021, our newly developed mining division operating in the northern region in the district of Magburaka has been a great addition to MDM, with over performing projections for gold and bauxite, as well as continued progression MDM will push to meet the target goal of expanding operations further north by 2025.
